Endings and Beginnings and Things in Between....

It's hard to believe that another school year is over.  This was a tough year in many ways and believe me when I say that I am glad that it is done.  I am, however, missing the seniors already.  This was probably one of my favorite classes that I have ever had.  Out of the 14 seniors that graduated, I had taught 11 of them at one point or another.  Most of those 11 I had even taught multiple times.  Suffice it to say that, while I managed to hold it together pretty much during the ceremony, by the time I got home I was an emotional mess.  I cried most of the night.  Don't worry...I'm ok now.

:)

School won't officially be over until this Friday.  The 9-11th grade students have to come back for half-days this week to take their finals.  Once they are finished I have to check all the teachers out so they can be done for the summer.  My stress level has gone way, way down, though, and I am thankful for that.

How about a garden update:

It is looking good and I am excited about having my own produce this summer.  I have had lettuce several times and toyed around with the idea of putting some more in.  I can't find any that looks healthy at the nurserys I have been to and I am too much of a chicken to try growing it from seeds, although, according to the book I have, lettuce is supposed to be pretty easy to grow.

Here are a couple of pictures of some recent projects I have finished:

I loved the purple one so much that I made one for myself.  I haven't taken pictures of it yet so you will have to wait.  I did use some of the yarn that I got from the Sheep and Wool Festival and it turned out well. :)

Here is my girl:

She is loving the warmer weather as much as I am!

I have officially been in my house for a year now!  This weekend last year I was moving in.  It's amazing the things that can happen in a year!

I am hoping to be back a little more regularly now that the school year is done.  I won't be so tired at night and will have a little more ambition to write. For now, though, I have laundry to finish and a sleepy puppy to adore.

:)
